Earth Rated makes two different types of bags -
green-colored bags, which contain an additive that helps them break down, and
white-colored bags, which are 100% plastic-free and vegetable-starch based.
Picking up dog poop is an eco-friendly act, however you’ll
notice that our bags are not labelled as “biodegradable”.
Why is this?
As a Canadian company, our bags met the requirements in
Canada to be considered biodegradable, but in the US the FTC has recently made
some updates to their labeling requirements. Because we’re branching out into
the US, even though our green-colored bags do break down they can’t be tested
to break down in every single type of landfill environment within the
FTC-required time frame of one year. Despite claims that many dog waste bag
companies make, there are in fact no FTC-approved “biodegradable” dog waste
bags available on the market today.
On another note, our white 100% plastic-free bags can be
disposed of in a municipal compost facility where pet waste is accepted.

We just get poo bags at the Reject Shop...not that they're rejects, just cheap! We wondered if they open easily...like in the wind, because we've had some that DON'T.

Lee loves the color of your bandana, that is the color of our sofa and chair and a lot of Lee's sweaters. Why can't you just tell we love that color by the color of my blog. Now they got poopy sacks that color, well I just know Lee will run out and get those.

Mom thinks the lavender scent is a great idea and just fine for BOTH girls and boys:) No stinky poop bags for her to carry along our walks:)
