My Internal Clock

Do you have an internal clock?
This here is
an example of my dinner routine...
 I sit nearby
I stare
I start trotting around the house and make monkey noises.
I pass through all rooms and grab all toys.
I continue trotting.
I stop at all beds, chew and start trotting and running like mad.
See Chubby running 87 times back and forth behind me?
Nutty
Now we sit for 87 seconds.
I grabbed my food. That's why I look like I sawed
a ghost.
That's Chubby's routine.

  8. Yes Benny and Lily I too have been blessed with an internal clock. I have breakfast at 6 am which is a meager amount of Fancy Feast...Mom divides on can into 6 parts...so I get 1/6 of a can of FF which is a very small can...just sayin! And I also get 1/4 cup of Purina one at 6 am. By about 3:30 my internal clock's back up battery had gone kaput. Mom can count on me starting to look for her at 3:15...my meow starts out as dearest Mom your sweet baby girl is hungry. Until my inner lioness comes out at 3:30 when I f inally I get another 1/6 can of FF....which keeps me going until bed time (10 pm) when I get another 1/4 cup of Purina
I'm deprived and mistreated and neglected...as soon as I grow thumbs I'm calling the SPCA
    Hugs madi your bfff

  10. Yes, I DO have an internal clock. It goes off every 10 minutes telling me it is time to eat. Unfortunately my humans have an entirely DIFFERENT clock.
I also have a mealtime routine - I pant and whine like I am in distress while trotting frantically from room to room. Then I plaster myself on my Mommy's leg until she gets me my food!

  14. Breakfast is at 5:30 am and dinner is a 5:30 pm ... during the week. On weekends ... it's whenever and we don't like that so much even though we usually get more treats!

Love Zoe, Peyton, Webster, Liberty & Whitney

PS ... we also have to sit and wait until mama tells us OK before we can eat!

  17. You are so cute Benny. My Frenchie flatmate actually takes himself to bed, he'll leave the room and go into a darkened room and lie on a cot mattress. Weird, he is like a civilised toddler or something. He has a bedtime routine. Xx

  21. Yes, I wake up at about 10am and jump on Dads head until he makes me food and a small cup of tea and then at 6pm its food time again, this involves about half an hour of pawing and squeeeking and walking to the kitchen to my food on the counter top, its crazy that the Pawrents don't just let me have the whole bag for me to just eat when I want, sheesh!
Really cute photos today, Benny you look really adorable sitting, love your routine its madness! Love and Licks from your Furiend Frank XxxxX

  26. I can tell when it's walk time, even on the weekends when I don't have my people coming home as a cue. I get very wander-y if my people don't feed me on time. Routines, people!

  28. Sounds like a great routine guys! Maybe I should adopt it, I don't have one, I just look sad until someone finally notices me and decides to feed me - sigh! :)

Yes, our Duo has a clock, but it's linked to the sunrise and sunset times... And they act just like you, except for the monkey noises. Can we hear them sometime?

  34. Oh yeah I've got a clock alright....sadly Mom doesn't seem to hear my alarms going off for feeding, outside walks, etc. so I have to give her a poke from time to time so she knows MY TIME is the only time she needs to pay attention to!!!!!

  35. I've got a little word of advice, my friend. Don't act like a monkey. Act like a pig. The squealing always results in exactly what I want :-)

  36. My dogs have an internal clock too - dinner time isn't so bad, but breakfast time is ruff now that it's darker in the mornings. We still get up at 6:30 every day! : )
