Do you have an internal clock?
This here is
an example of my dinner routine...
I sit nearby
I stare
I start trotting around the house and make monkey noises.
I pass through all rooms and grab all toys.
I continue trotting.
I stop at all beds, chew and start trotting and running like mad.
See Chubby running 87 times back and forth behind me?
Nutty
Now we sit for 87 seconds.
I grabbed my food. That's why I look like I sawed
a ghost.
That's Chubby's routine.
Benny & Lily
In the morning we take turns jumping on HH. We start around 5:00am. We usually get our food around 6:00'
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Hugs Bugsy and Knuckles
Oh yeah we have a routine also, sometimes in the evenings tho mom makes us wait a little longer and I have to sound off my pug scream so she cleans her act up!

Pip is the same and she clip clops around and is just darn irritating till she is fed. Her fav line form Little Shop Of Horrors is feed me...feed me NOW. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly.
I have one too. It always says "time for food". Have a great tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYeah, my Freddy has an internal clock when it comes time to eat. And Buddy has an internal clock when it comes to waking up in the middle of the night to go potty. Never fails. 2 am.
ReplyDeleteWe have to sit for our breakfasts and dinners too...
ReplyDelete-Corbin
We don't have an internal food clock cuz our pawrents free feed us. But we do know when it is bedtime!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Yes Benny and Lily I too have been blessed with an internal clock. I have breakfast at 6 am which is a meager amount of Fancy Feast...Mom divides on can into 6 parts...so I get 1/6 of a can of FF which is a very small can...just sayin! And I also get 1/4 cup of Purina one at 6 am. By about 3:30 my internal clock's back up battery had gone kaput. Mom can count on me starting to look for her at 3:15...my meow starts out as dearest Mom your sweet baby girl is hungry. Until my inner lioness comes out at 3:30 when I f inally I get another 1/6 can of FF....which keeps me going until bed time (10 pm) when I get another 1/4 cup of Purina
ReplyDeleteI'm deprived and mistreated and neglected...as soon as I grow thumbs I'm calling the SPCA
Hugs madi your bfff
you bet - 4.15 on the dot....the dweeb starts his oh-oh noises which means dinner time
ReplyDeleteYes, I DO have an internal clock. It goes off every 10 minutes telling me it is time to eat. Unfortunately my humans have an entirely DIFFERENT clock.
ReplyDeleteI also have a mealtime routine - I pant and whine like I am in distress while trotting frantically from room to room. Then I plaster myself on my Mommy's leg until she gets me my food!
Love Noodles
OMD your INTERNALS clock keeps PAWfect time.
ReplyDeletePeeS... we confess.. WE make Monkey NOISES, TOO!!
Yes Benny- an internal clock is very important to have!

Recently my internal clock has been telling me it is time to get up and play fetch at 2am. Weirdly, the family don't appreciate it?
ReplyDeleteDina
Breakfast is at 5:30 am and dinner is a 5:30 pm ... during the week. On weekends ... it's whenever and we don't like that so much even though we usually get more treats!
ReplyDeleteLove Zoe, Peyton, Webster, Liberty & Whitney
PS ... we also have to sit and wait until mama tells us OK before we can eat!
87 seconds?? That's like abuse or something!!! I only wait 85 :)))
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need a "cocktail hour" with lots of tasty hors d'oevres to tide you over til dinnertime.
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute Benny. My Frenchie flatmate actually takes himself to bed, he'll leave the room and go into a darkened room and lie on a cot mattress. Weird, he is like a civilised toddler or something. He has a bedtime routine. Xx
ReplyDeleteOur routine is to eat it quick before the others do!

BOL!
ReplyDeleteNola
Ha ha Bailey makes monkey noises when Mom & Dad get home, mom calls him monkey-man.
ReplyDeletewe all know when 5 oclock comes, Hazel will grab Mom's pants leg and give her heck!
hugs
Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Cody is the one with the internal clock around here. He is the ring-leader. He starts whining and circling and gets Dakota riled up.......then they are relentless!
ReplyDeleteYes, I wake up at about 10am and jump on Dads head until he makes me food and a small cup of tea and then at 6pm its food time again, this involves about half an hour of pawing and squeeeking and walking to the kitchen to my food on the counter top, its crazy that the Pawrents don't just let me have the whole bag for me to just eat when I want, sheesh!
ReplyDeleteReally cute photos today, Benny you look really adorable sitting, love your routine its madness! Love and Licks from your Furiend Frank XxxxX
I like the jumping on the head part
DeleteWe just let her know that it's nearly dinner time. We start lobbying about 45 minutes before dinner, so SHE doesn't forget.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
when it comes to meal times we sure do
ReplyDeleteurban hounds
Too cute. My kitties start meowing and trip me when their clock goes off. LOL.
ReplyDeleteSue B
We know that as soon as mommy makes Grandma a morning cup of coffee, that we get fed next.
ReplyDeleteI can tell when it's walk time, even on the weekends when I don't have my people coming home as a cue. I get very wander-y if my people don't feed me on time. Routines, people!
ReplyDelete-Mister
This is an excellent tutorial for younger pups who needs to learn how to tell their Moms that they are hungry
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great routine guys! Maybe I should adopt it, I don't have one, I just look sad until someone finally notices me and decides to feed me - sigh! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Lee does similar things. Phod just lays there like he is too weak to stand! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBOL! I think you might be related to Flattery! That sounds very familiar, even the monkey noises!
ReplyDeleteBunny
K made monkey noises too, Benny! You made me smile!
ReplyDeleteYes, our Duo has a clock, but it's linked to the sunrise and sunset times... And they act just like you, except for the monkey noises. Can we hear them sometime?
Oh yeah! don't we all??! If I don't gets my furst walkie by 7am, I am a total biatch!! I will whine and even sometimes bark. I will not stand for delays in this routine! (I also jump arounds like a bunny when I see it's time to go, butts don't tell anyone...)
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Yes! We have that very same thing going on here too...but it is pretty much just Chloe!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I've got a clock alright....sadly Mom doesn't seem to hear my alarms going off for feeding, outside walks, etc. so I have to give her a poke from time to time so she knows MY TIME is the only time she needs to pay attention to!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sammy
I've got a little word of advice, my friend. Don't act like a monkey. Act like a pig. The squealing always results in exactly what I want :-)
ReplyDeleteMy dogs have an internal clock too - dinner time isn't so bad, but breakfast time is ruff now that it's darker in the mornings. We still get up at 6:30 every day! : )
ReplyDeleteclocks are good that way we know when we are,xx Speedy
