Friends the Elephants have arrived!
This here is Mosha
The story
"She needs your support. In fact, a whole species does. Asian elephants are on the verge of extinction, and the commitment for their preservation started with special elephant known as Mosha. After stepping on an abandoned land mine, Mosha was fit with the world¹s first-ever prosthesis for a baby elephant. Her powerful strides inspired father and son duo, Mike and Marc Spits, to create Elephant Parade®in 2006. As a socially-conscious business enterprise, Elephant Parade has since rapidly grown from a grassroots movement into a global crusade combining a powerful mix of corporate, celebrity and community support. Through the sale of merchandise and auction of the original art pieces, the exhibition has raised over $6 million dollars to help support the world¹s most majestic land mammals and raise global awareness of issues affecting their dramatic plight."

I love elephants too, and this is a great way to express the beauty of the elephants and that we must do all we can to protect them.

I've heard about them. Some city had cows, and we have Snoopy here which I am doing weekly on WW for a while. Pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteDear Benny and Lily,
ReplyDeleteMy person loves elephants. I think they are big and a little bit scary... But they deserve to be taken care of too, just like all Animals on our Earth! Those sure are pretty elephants! (And not as BIG or SCARY as real ones. Whew.)
Licks,
Cobi
That is too cool Benny & Lily!
ReplyDeleteOur hometown in NY did horses on pee-raid and now we're doing hamburgers! Can't eat these burgers tho, they are not real. Trust me, we tried!

What a cool project! One of Glogirly & Gloman's dreams is to see the elephants of Africa.
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! ...and for a wonderful cause.

Those elephants are beautiful! We hope lots of peeps realise the plight of the Asian elephant. We've seen the adult with the prosthetic leg, but not the baby, after stepping on land mines.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Wow, this is so wonderful! Elephants are such amazing creatures and they deserve all of our love and support to survive. Gee, those statues are pawesome!
ReplyDeleteGrr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
We love elephants, too. Scranton had a display of donkeys once, but they were not as cool as elephants. Hope you can visit them plenty more times, and show us more pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow. Super Duper Cool! I want me an elephant to play wiff. Maybe I should put it on my Christmas list.
ReplyDeleteWags,
Ranger
very cool
ReplyDeleteA few years ago we had one in Kansas City at the Plaza with cows, but Mom doesn't think they were attached to any great cause like this one is. Not only are those painted elephants beautiful, but so much good is being done too.
ReplyDeleteBTW, we heard that noise, Benny:)
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Elephants are very important and I applaud you for raising our awareness. Just one thing: I thought Kim was Khloe's elephant
ReplyDeleteThe elephants are so great and what a great charity! Lady and Man went to an elephant refuge on one of their trips and loved spending time with them. They actually got a painting done by an elephant to help them. We hope elephants come and visit us . . . Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteThese elephants are pretty cool! They remind me of the spirit bears we had all over Vancouver during the Olympics :0) Neato.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that?? You get your own special colorful elephant parade!! Very cool!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteWOW they are awesome, so many of our great creatures are becoming extinct xx00xx

Hi! We just found you guys. You are adorable. My name is Matilda the greyhound, and I have also struggled with cancer, and had chemo. Benny, we are cheering for you. We love elephants too. Mom has some prints up on the wall from the Ashes and Snow show. We invite you to our blog.

That's so very cool! Our town has penguins very much like this. I'm always tempted to stop and pet one, or have my photo taken with one.
ReplyDeleteThat elephants sure are pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour two are quite brave! When I was a child (much larger than yourselves!) I was terrified of elephants- even fake ones! I grew out of the fear but not out of, if you can believe it, a severe allergy to elephants!
ReplyDeleteBenny, you are every bit as dapper in the Bluberry Chevron martingale collar as we'd hoped!
Each of our local inside Nyc do race horses on pee-raid now we're doing cheese burgers! Cannot try to eat these hamburgers tho, they may not be actual. Believe me, many of us tried out!
