Hi every buddy
We met a new friend over at
Not only do they have insurance for us,
but most importantly
"Our non-profit foundation: where we support pet adoption groups around the US"
they asked us to comment on
“common mistakes a pet owner could make when potty training their dog”
so I was laying here thinking.....
that's easy.
From experience we KNOW
one answer.
No big spaces for puppies.
Check out their blog friends...
We got no monies for doing this, we just did it.

They also have some cool cartoons

It's important to take them out on a schedule, too. And I always gave Riley a treat after she peed outside when she was a puppy. She was housebroken in two weeks!

When I got our dogs I took them out every hour during the day and they were crated during the night. It only took a few weeks.

Mom didn't potty train two of us -- Ashley Pumpernickel and Mocha Barney, so we have to wear diapers when indoors. Winniechurchill potty trained herself so she doesn't need any.
ReplyDeleteDats what mum did...crated, scheduled pees, treats, and no big spaces. I is good except when it rains...hehehehe.

Well our mom isn't very good in this area, and she is ashamed of that fact...sometimes we are very very good and sometimes we are not. It is all moms fault.

Yep Excellent advice. We even are limited when Mom & Dad are not home even though we have been potty trained long time. Greta still goes in her crate. Bailey & Hazel are blocked from the living and bedroom. Less mischief that way.

We agree 100%! No big spaces unless you want a squishy surprise under your foot. ;) Very good advice.
ReplyDeleteHealthy Paws sounds awesome!

Oh, Lordy. My mom didn't think I was ever gonna learn but she was just impatient cuz I learned right on track. I had to because I did NOT like being confined in any way. I am a free range pupper!
ReplyDeleteI was out of nappies one week after Mom had me :) xx00xx

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Ben and Lil... What a sweet post. Bruiser was potty trained at 6 weeks and we still to this day have never had an accident. He loved going outside because he always got a little treat when he came him. He got to where he would go out, even when he didn't need to, so he would get his little treat. He thought Momma didn't know, but she did and still does. It's a game we play.
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday sweet Lil. Hope you day is filled full of good fun. I know Momma will have big plans ahead for your special day.
Have a great weekend dear friend. Many hugs, smiles and much love, Sherry
This is VERY good infomation -- thank you for sharing it with us, and the cartoons too.
